Guy I went through orientation with went on a Dollar Tree account. Was consuming 7000 calories a day and still lost weight.

 

When Averett Express came to our school, they said all students went to OTR first. Then in 6 months to a year and with a good record you could move to dedicated routes if available. But I'm sure that could be different for different terminals. At least one of the students in my class when with them. Seemed like a good outfit.

 

a lot of companies require some bit of otr to get a dedicated but the demand for those dollar accounts normally will take anyone who is interested.

 

there ya go.that settles that-

 

Dollar General is not floor loads anymore. they are all on carts and you use a lift gate to get the carts up and down. its not for everyone but the money is usually better in trucking when you don't mind unloading and backing into tight places.
