Averitt Express Not What it seems

yeah the wait time there is bad when i was there i would get to my delievery the night before then unload in the morning and wait for hours to get anouther load i was lucky to get 2000 mile and seemed every friday i was in atlanta waiting on an LTL load to get my home to Jacksonville. They used to let me bob-tail home with my first truck then i got a new truck and that stopped i only lived about 5 miles from terminal.

 

im lucky to get 1500-2000 a week i dont know how they expect us to make it on those miles.when i do get a good load they want me to drop it

I am leaving Hogan Transport, and going over to Averitt. Glad to hear what you had to say. Hogan is one of the most screwed up companys, I have ever worked for in 35 years, again appreciate the good points with Averitt.

 

Wow, I wrote that almost two years ago. Just after that I got assigned a dedicated run in May of 2010.

I pull out of the Mercedes Benz warehouse in Vance AL. My run is 2297 miles per week and has never changed since I started. Not a pile of money, but I like the consistency and the regular hometime.

 

Well said averitt is really on of the biggest jokes in the industry. You really will not realize that until you leave. I went to a ltl company and i wished i would have quit averitt a whole lot sooner.

you are somewhat correct. averitt does some ltl but they are not a ltl company. they focus more on logistics. averitt will never push ltl like a established freight company. they like logistics because they know that they can pay a driver 35 cents per mile and get away with it. THAT IS WHY I LEFT THAT JOKE OF A COMPANY AND GOT A REAL JOB WITH ESTES EXPRESS LINES. NOW BEFORE YOU GET OFFENDED DONT IAAM BEING HONEST. NOW WHEN YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR INCOME BY 25000 ANNUALY BY DEFINITION THAT MAKES AVERITT THE BIGGEST JOKE IN THE INDUSTRY.
