Update, as it's been a while. I'm on the last of my training coming up this week. We have a small LTL run from NC to a couple of spots in VA, so I'm going to get my "testing" done during that run. After that, hopefully I'll get a decent truck that won't suck too bad. LOL But I've learned quite a bit from other drivers and my trainer when he's not in some kind of mood. Most of it isn't "driving" so much as it's all the little tips and tricks that I'm starting to pick up. I've got my list of things that I'm taking with me, but now it's waiting until I know what truck I'm getting and the room I'm going to have; and since Averitt plans on using me as a pack mule for a while, I'm making myself very comfortable.

Hope all is well with my few friends from class, and I'll call ya sometime, once I get my blue tooth setup working.

 

Yep. I drive it to LEX for my backing class tomorrow. I'm in 13260. 2008 Volvo with 593,XXX miles, no E-logs. Not the cleanest, but thankfully, the last person didn't smoke. From what I'm understanding, I'm either going to get an upgrade to the Qualcomm in this truck, or possibly get a "newer" one when I get to class, depending on what they want to do. But I'm prepared to sit in this one for a while. I'll make the best of it as I know how, since I'm used to living in small spaces.
