Well... Got my package tonight. Sent via email, (unlike what I was told) and the format is so messed up I can't print it out, without retyping the whole thing. But whatever... I got it.

So it talks about the dates (what is going on each day), what to bring (docs, clothes, medical paperwork, etc...) touched on pay while in training, grooming standards, and so on... Also said I need a set of load locks, but they will provide, if I don't have a set. Good thing, cause yea... I'm gonna need some. I just hope they don't charge me an arm or leg for them. :p

Just FYI, they also said you will receive your orientation pay and any travel expense pay on your first check, which you will receive 12 days after attending orientation. Pay for your week of orientation will be $xxx.
Orientation pay will be your first pay check, which will be issued to you the week after orientation on Friday. (Kind of confusing if you look at the dates, but whatever...)

So for those that are going I'll see you Monday morning. We may have to have a "Truckers Report" gathering or something.

Don't BELIEVE everything they tell you, they have NO idea what we do for a living and the things we have to put up with out on the road. Their WHOLE world revolves around COOKEVILLE!
Take in the info that is relevant to you!
ASK questions about the things you don't understand COMPLETELY!
I met and spoke with 2 disillusioned NEW hires this week in NAS.....helped them out, got them going in the right direction.
BTW... Averitt turnover rate is at NATIONAL averages
    ASK about AVERITT's CSA score!

    Nukem Thanks this.

I've been in the military way too long, NOT to question everything. But I do also understand it sucks being at the bottom, and I'm going to have to work my *** off to get myself in a position that I am comfortable with.

As for the company, they are there to make money, so I figure as long as I understand that, first and foremost, then I'm good. As long as the pay is not shorted, and I get home once and a while, I'll work for the rest. :) I've looked up the CSA score already, and (publicly) it's pretty decent. I've also been to my SC and talked with the local people there, the mechanics, etc... Decent enough people, who didn't pull a punch and told me directly what I would expect running out of there.

As for the rest, I'm pretty adaptive, but like you said... ASK QUESTIONS.

But thanks for the info and heads up.
