The BXS on one of the T2000s has 973,000 we got the truck with 32,000 in 2005 its been a great engine major issues were water pump impelled broke off at 800k, the guys at the TA roadservice guy connected the starter incorrectly and burned the ECM and the spring inside fuel pump cracked so i had to replace the entire pump. The air filters are something really important and if they're dirty fuel economy will be hurt noticeably. Coolant started to get into the oil a couple weeks ago i tested oil cooler and it was ok so now the problem lies in either a head or a liner i ran some blue devil sealer and i'm keeping my driver doing short loads and so far no coolant has made it into the valve covers or the oil fill plug but i know soon ill need to find my driver another truck but im happy with the durability of this engine and i would highly recommend this vs an ISX. The international with red under the hood has been nothing but trouble, egr, turbo, fuel pump and a couple months back a piston pin split down the middle and i had to do the inframe then at 456,000 but anyway just stick to a kitty youll be better off :biggrin_25525:

Dont over look the air compressor as a source of your water getting into the oil.

I'm looking at an '05 International with a BXS. I would not want to consider an '05 ISX or Series 60. I am getting tons of info here. Thanks!

Thank You I was really hoping for something minor to be the problem . I Tried oil cooler but that was scratched off the list next I tried bypassing the tranny cooler but. Oil was still finding its way into the resevoir. So far the blue devil seems to be doing its job I checked with driver this morning and oil fill plug is clean but I'm playing it safe and running truck locally from northern. Wisconsin to peoria. IL doing loads for Caterpillar

I dont believe bypassing the trans cooler would solve your problem if the cooler in fact had a hole in it. The trans cooler doesn't have enough pressure to force oil into the water. In this case if it did have a hole in the cooler you would get coolant in the tranny and it would have been long gone by now.
