Im looking at putting my truck back on over there. When I was there back in 04'-05' I did good with my first FM but when she went out on maturnity leave the replacement I got was not worth a crap and had to make a change. I bought a step deck and have been doing that but platform wok has all but dried up lately.

So what im wondering is how are the miles over at marten lately?I realize it maybe a little slow due to the economey right now, but I figure reffer work should be somewhat busy....people got to eat. Also I see that there 4qtr profits have nearly double for 08' from a year ago.Which sounds pretty soild.

So any info on how o/o's are doing would be great.

This is an old post but to stop all the confusion.

If you a company driver and your truck is blue and sometimes they call you "bluebird" on the road, haul mostly reefer .... you'd be with Marten Transport.

Now if you're MTS and probably haul mainly dry van....then you'd be MTS/Martin Transportation Services...main office I think is out of TN.

Geez people pay attention to how things are being spelled but at least for now you know maybe if you're a bluebird or not. :biggrin_2554:

There is also a "Martin Milk Service" out of WI,...they pull a lot of old Marten trailers,....Try to keep that straight at a quick glance....lol..

Guess I've never ran across a 1/2 of a bluebird. I don't have much trouble picking out them bluebirds....must be the reefer driver in me.

You must not be a company driver because lease drivers can have any color they want.
The blues ones are normally driven by non-leaser's.
    This words are spelled correctly.
    Actually
    different
    nickname

If you're gonna play grammar police, at least use proper English when doing so.

And who told you that lease drivers can have any color trucks they want?
Being a company driver , i was given the choice. At the time i picked up my new truck, they only had White Freightshakers and Black Cherry Peterbuilts.

If you will notice, lease drivers, on thier trucks, they do not have Marten on the top of the sleeper.

And thier tractor #'s are 5Digits long ,not four such as the company trucks.
