    Dude..come on. :biggrin_25516:

That was really crappy for you to say that. The guy is out of a job now. Granted we don't know -ALL- the details but to say he 'sucks' as a driver isn't a fair statement, unless you know -ALL- the facts....

No one around here is a "perfect" driver and if they think they are, they need to retire. Driving is a skill that requires a lifetime to master...We are always learning.....

I feel bad for this guy, either way. :biggrin_25513:

Well from any one else I MIGHT agree. But from another rookie who hasn't the experience to know what it really takes, I think not. I know, I know I'm such an #$$. What ever. I work for Marten, I'm aware that they told every one. you hit anything in the first 90 day, your gone. You can't make a run on time, tell us. You arrive late, You don't tell us, you get written up. Do it again your gone. You need assistance, just ask. Hitting something is just plain laziness. G-O-A-L.

Don't think I was putting down Marten, just agreeing with the observation by Tip about the reefer business. I took responsibility for my mishap in another thread:

Thank goodness not all of the truckers I have met in my year have that holier than thou super trucker attitude you have... A lot have helped as I have done when someone was trying to get into a tight spot or something was wrong with their lights/trailer ect... Maybe that's why our society is declining, people with your type of attitude would rather spew negativity and be part of the problem, not the solution. Include me out.

Well billyboy, I don't go looking to see if some one said what they mean some where else. I read what they said here. And what you said here is that You made a minor mistake and that Marten is totally un-fair and expects drivers to meet unrealistic appt times. Which is BS. Holier then thou? No just better. Much MUCH better. The problem is the slackers who don't understand that you have to give 110% 100% of the time. Failure is not on option and excuses are for losers. I for one will be glad when CSA 2010 gets here. It will cut the weak out of the heard and level the Professionals to do the job right.

    Kabar,
You know nothing about me. Both of my previous trucking employers were sad to see me leave. I ran hard, applied myself to learn and volunteered for extra training. I'm not whining as you seem to think, and I really don't care what you think. Narrow minded people like to go around making assumptions as it makes them feel better about themselves to believe their own version of the truth.

I'm glad it gets you through the day to be a "Much MUCH better" trucker than a 1 year trucker... woo woo :biggrin_25523:
