here is my intro...
i am 38 year old, living up here in the rainy NW near Seattle, Washington. Back in 07, i went through the "Swift Academy" (insert jokes here) and got my CDL, and did drive for them for a few months before my fathers health got worse, so had to stop driving, and of course, local companies wont hire a newbie with only a few months experience, so went into warehousing, which i still got to talk to a lot of OTR drivers, but now that the company i work for is going out of business, i am looking at alternatives, one is going back behind the wheel. Grandfather retired a truck driver of 45 years, so i have it in my blood!! Still looking for the right fit for me, been researching and this forum has opened my eyes to a lot, so hopefully i can find a good company with good rigs. Long term, Owner Operator is where i want to end up, but doing more local routes, but we'll see where the highway takes me!
Awesome site, new here myself...
