In life you have to pay attention to what goes on around you, just because someone works with you don,t mean that he or she is your best friend. Unfortunatly they are people around that you have to watch, or keep a weapon close by for.

Now People- let's all calm down here, someone that has paid his (or her ) debt and went through the system is a citizen just like you and I. Think about it- after prison, you have to stay on Parole. Close monitoring, drug testing- by the time you clear the system, you're determined to stay straight. I never had a problem working next to a felon that paid his debt.
However, the current problem I have is with Government emptying our prisons to save tax dollars. Felons are being let out early and retrained. With our tax dollars or money the Fed printed out of the air. These guys haven't cleared the system yet and haven't finished paying their dues. Trucking companies are making money by hiring them and collecting a stipend for employing them. Meanwhile the guy that cleared the system and successfully re-integrated into society can't get a driving job because "We don't hire felons".
A convict fresh out of prison hasn't proven himself yet. A former felon and former parolee has. Why should we accommodate potential recidivists when the system has cleared parolees after they have successfully shown a sincere desire to be allowed back into the workforce?
Not all felons were convicted of crimes involving moral terpitude and not all felons are sex offenders. In modern society, don't laugh too loud because you, I and everyone else could be next.
You could be committing felonies often and unknowingly at anytime. Under the wrong circumstances you can end up looking through bars. Some felony convictions are by association, not by action- like the passengers in a car riding with the one person in possession of a drug. In a zero tolerance jurisdiction, EVERYBODY goes to jail.
Lighten up People- chances are that you meet felons every day and would never know it. -
I don't know what they expected you to do about it. -
Seems like this might be an excuse or an attempt to sue a company over a personal matter.
