    How long does a background check normally take i have had one job since a got a CDL and cant remember how long it took last time

    DOT doesn't really do a background check - are you referring to your HAZMAT application?

    Really don't have a reference to what you're talking about. Are you meaning something that an employer is doing to check you out before hiring you?

    Ya it say's they need to check the past 7 yrs of driving rec. employers drug test ect.

    Oh, OK, was thinking the DOT was doing a check, and that doesn't happen. Usually takes a day or two for an employer to get back to you, unless a previous employer is dragging their butt.
