Since it sounds like just a strain. I'd wear back brace and take an NSAID like Alieve for a few days. If the problem persists go see a chiropractor or your primary care physician. If you have time time and the $$$ a massage may help.
I resemble that fat and out of shape back pain suffer'er. But prior to injury I enjoyed an athletic physique and being in great shape. Pain sucks, get yourself sorted out and lift properly from now on. -
Get on a stretching regiment, and STICK TO IT! do not let yourself get complacent. I have back issues related to driving as well. You spend enough years sitting for 12 or more hours a day and you muscles start thinking that the sitting position is the relaxing position, rather than the standing position being the relaxed position. Ends up when you stand your body thinks it's stretching.... don't use arm rests, there's lots of different ways to elevate the pain, best of luck, if you find something that works let us know

The normal persons back is tough as hell and rarely ever hurts.
People with stress have back aches? It's the stress, nothing wrong with the back.
Here's a book, I haven't read it, but it's suppose to be real helpful

Me, I had a log fall off a truck and down my back when I was about 12, I ended up with a crooked spine and my back used to hurt a few years sago, until I found it that it couldn't hurt, it was just stress.
