Which is why I remove the Browning's and put the factory fiberglass on when I'm home. On the road, just hafta hope I get woken up if someone is trying to steal them.

As far as the new trucks go the 680 is nice. Only gripe I can think of is it seems they have a poor turning radius. I like the older trucks personally. The Coronado glider I drove got me hooked. Detroit 60 342 rear end lots of power especially pulling heavy up hills. If I had my choice I'd rather drive a KW 900 series with a cat 6nz or the Cummins n14.

Stryker 497 100 watt radio. Gets the job done. Has a fan inside it doesn't overheat unlike a Hp 40 or a Connex 4600 turbo

Thanks to your post I've looked at the 497s and I like them better than the general.

I used to run it into the fuse panel rather than run it off a power port on the dash.... On a Columbia or Century Truck......

I haven't seen the Brownings anywhere I've been lately. From the looks of them they are just a 10k with a flat coil?

My truck has been at a KW shop for a while, so I haven't been tinkering with it. At least one of the Skipshooters is definitely dead because I get a 3+ swr every time I screw them on. The verdict is still out on the Wilsons although I can already tell that they aren't receiving all too hot. They are pretty quiet though and I'm back to running the gain at 3/4.

I'll update once I get a better feel for them.

Yeah but they don't get chewed up like a predator coil will. There more aircraft grade quality as are many Funky Mades.
