Back in a T680...

    Apparently money is not an issue with Hick he is on mission seeking perfection, with all those antennas the side box compartment is going to get filled up real fast.

    That antenna has an overall height of 68" guess thats one reason why it works so well.

    Im at the TA (####hole) in Northbend Wa and saw a T680 with two 6' Firesticks , he was parked , so really dont know how much they flop around, but I bet they work really good.

    Wonder if ya gotta go directly to a battery on a HP40 YA DONT HAVE TOO ON A 497 STRYKER. ITS RIGHT AROUND THE SAME WATTAGE. ID RUN A HP40 OFF THE BATTERY PERSONALLY. I DUNNO ITS NAP TIME.

    I have had some trucks where the power ports have 30 amp fuses even though Im sure the power wire that runs to it is really high gauge, like 16, but I did run 100 watt amps like a Texas star Mod V without any issues.

    I did run the sister radio of that general hp40 , a connex with a 2290 transistor, and ran it directly to the cb posts and it worked fine, that was in a volvo.

    Just wondering if you were stationary for a couple of days how well do you all think two 102" whips would work on the T680?
