As much as I'd hate to say it, drivers like that are the reason I refuse to help other drivers.

I am at a loss for being able to understand why there is all this talk about how there is no respect coming from new drivers when this site is full of threads with nothing but rude comments directed towards new drivers or students. Just how is it expected to get better when we can't get along in a unanimous setting. Pay it forward works both ways.

Replies like this are why respect is earned and not given. You're obliviously here to pick a fight, and I don't respect people like that. -

I think that some of the "disrespect" that you may be speaking of is the fact that some of the new drivers simply don't understand what the trucking world was like years ago. This is not your fault. Just try to learn from us older vets about some of the things that we do, have done, in the past so that every trucker is a part of the bigger whole of the profession.
Ghost Ryder is right on one point, (if I am understanding his position here) and that is that we older drivers tend to stay away from newer drivers because of some of the things we have seen some newer drivers do. But when we say something to the new driver about it (even in a kind-hearted manner) we sometimes get nothing but rants from them when all we were trying to do is help or give some advice.
As for me, I don't have anything against new drivers, as at one time, I was one myself. But I have seen things that will sometimes make me cringe!Midnight Magic and Ghost Ryder Thank this.
