Don't even waste your time with big companies unless you have at least 3 mo. in the last year, and most require 6mo. in the last year.
Some of them will put you with a trainer for a month and then give you your truck, depending on how the trainer rates you. This
may be the way to go if you don't mind team driving. Western Express in Nashville may be an option.
First and foremost, do not believe or trust the recruiters!! They will tell you what you want to hear, just to get you to orientation, and they think you are hooked.
Back to the small companies, their equipment may not be as good, but you don't have to be a school graduate to get hired.
I know because I went through the same thing when I tried to get back into trucking. Your experience expires after a year!!
