You can find good exercises on the net for back pain. Believe me I've been through the mill with all kinds of back pain and best I've found while driving is cold and heat. I put ice on for 20 minutes then go for heat for the same amount of time. After a couple of cycles it's gone. If you have a microwave you can find those beanbags that you can heat up where they work great. Cold is easy, just a bag with ice can work.
Be real careful on how you answer any questions to the company about back pain. Every company I've been around seek out that kind of information so they can pass on you for driving. They know if you have back pain there's a good chance of a W/C claim coming. So they think. In your case the problem you may have is your back pain is documented so like the previous poster said be sure to get your doctors statement that you're good to go. There's another problem you may have. If you do get hurt on the job and it's legitimate W/C will claim you had prior back conditions and will take every effort not to treat you. So if the company doesn't ask don't give up any information no matter how non-relatated it is. Take care of your back and it will take care of you.

Good point there GasHauler!

Stretches, exercises, and posture go a long way. Also watch all the little things like having a big wallet in your pocket. Take it out! Throwing your hips off balance throws the muscles off balance along your spine.
Cropduster Thanks this. -

cropduster.........i just tried sending you a PM, but i have to have 50 posts before i can do so.........
so i guess i'll shorten this for you and then you go from there........
DO NOT MENTION your back pain.......if you do, you risk having the potential employer of sending you out for a back x-ray........this can be fatal to your future. they can deny you a job.
if its just a simple back pain, KEEP FREAKING QUIET about it........
we ALL have aches and pains............
