Are people with back problems allowed to drive trucks?
I was playing basketball some years ago and came down on my tailbone. I went to a doctor and had a few exrays he showed me that's my hip bone had shift a inch or two to the side. I am not exactly sure if a nerve isx pinched but I think the shift from time to time may touch up against them. He told me surgery is an option but its somewhat 50/50 it could help or make it worse.I don't have regular pains to be honest the only time I experience discomfort in my lower back is when the weather changes. I am wondering if this will keep me from pursuing a trucking career? Being that this is not a daily or frequent issue is this something I should bring up?
Thanks for your advise.

A DOT physical will have you touch your toes and some doctors might make you do some lifting.
Just as long as you don't use any pain meds, you'll be okay. Prescription narcotics are forbidden driving a truck. Companies will shut you down at least 3 days if you take them, like for a dental procedure.
I have a fragmented disc and some compressed discs that bother me bad at times. I know the pain. -
I don't take any meds besides Bayer or Ibprofen. To me its not a pain more of a discomfort sometimes that I haved gotten used to. I can bend and lift just fine. I just hope it all works out for me thanks.
