Yes. I doubt Hooters would have done as well if instead of an owl mascot they had chosen a cow and called themselves Udders.

Yes. The kenworth guy suggested I find a shop at home and develop a relationship. Well we will see if I can tread water long enough to get to that point. Plus finding the right shop and mechanic..trial and error.
I'm still having an issue at one certain point in 9th gear and I think my air dryer is about to give out.
Part of my problem is I am not familiar with how a 9 speed feels or the right sound and vibration for a cummins. I've driven 10 speed freightliner so much I can tell immediately when something ain't right because I know what is right. Ya know?
Anyway. Glad to see you back @Dave_in_AZ even if your feathers are still a bit ruffled.

It's worth it's weight in gold … even on the road if I have an issue I can call my shop and discuss a course of action.

Some people learn the easy way. Some people learn after throwing thousands and thousands of dollars away.
But anyone that stays in this game for any length of time does learn.

Experience is what tells you you are making the same mistake again.

Adjusting a clutch takes just a few minutes and any truck stop shop will do it. Tho you are right, most truck stop ships will make you wait 5 hours to change wiper blades.

See if you can't find a video or two on utube. It's a real simple procedure and you could easily do it yourself. Heck my 10 year old daughter has done mine.

Dude no company worth working for cares how old your truck is or how many miles are on it.

Well many require it to be elog compatible. The first series 60 came out in 1986, so a 31 year old truck is ok.
