Well I ordered one. Was priced Canadian and went through a currency conversion no big deal. But never was let know that it comes from China. I guess it’s on that “slow boat from China” Three weeks + 1 day later I still don’t have it......

I had 2, got l3, l4, l5 fused in 2006. Still going strong, seems even better than before sometimes. I did 6 months of back core muscle exercises before surgery and did the PT like religion after and I think that was the key.

I've had many friends that didn't do all the hard work required and they blame the surgery for their continued problems.....

Much the same situation as the OP. I have a nerve that gets occasionally pinched now because hips are misaligned, then inflames and continues pulling on that nerve. When it happens it is immediate and I'm down for the count and recovery was slow and painful as I waited for the inflamed muscles to let go of that nerve. Then talked to an experienced back Dr. and he said put some ice in a gallon baggy, fill it with water, put that on your lower back for up to 15 minutes, and never use heat. It is painful, but unlike frozen peas or whatever, that ice water isn't quite cold enough to cause real damage to the tissues. Man, that sucks that inflammation right out of the muscles, they release that nerve and I'm up and moving around again. Wish I'd spoken to him years ago because using any form of heat just exacerbated the problem for me and made my recovery longer.
