Are you having to go back out with a trainer since you were out of the truck so long?

Yes you would have to do air brakes test, driving test and backing then would need to do 30k tnt. I am sitting at the hotel now waiting for a trainer.

Moral of the story is don’t stay out of this industry for more than a year or you have to start over. I still subscribe to the idea that it’s a conspiracy to keep truckers trapped in this industry. This guy is going to get out there and by the second or third day it’s just like riding a bike and it will all come back to him. Yet they’re making him go through training like a newbie. When you’ve driven a truck for over a decade over the road, that’s ingrained in your DNA for life. Don’t let your CDL’s expire folks unless you’re 100% sure don’t stay off the truck for more than a year so you don’t end up going through with this guy had to .
