I can almost imagine a dispatcher of today trying to bully an owner op into doing an inside delivery that the consignee is saying they’ll refuse if not done. :biggrin_25523:

Show me the money and I will put it where you pay for it to go is what an experienced LTL owner op probably would say. When I was young and doing LTL I didn’t mind doing inside deliveries, especially in malls. We had inside delivery for AT&T stores back in the day and they would often get nearly 100 loose boxes and ship 20-30 returns out. No lift gates or docks, but I got to know the girls running the store rather well. I enjoyed peddling around 20 stops most days. I now can understand why the old timers wouldn’t do more than 7 or 8 stops a day. Now if I get more than one stop on my load I complain to myself, but it reminds me how good I usually have it.
