Frankly, before you do anything with the support shift, you should ask yourself this one very important question, "Is there anything they can do about the problem?". 99% of the time there isn't a thing that can be done until the daytime folks come to work. So, save yourself a bunch of grief and frustration. Make a decision, find a place to park, and call back in the morning.

There are two origions of the phrase. First from a Tom Wolfe novel about a group of people pressuring non drug users to try LSD using the tag line "try the electric kool aide"

The second is from the Jonestown massacre. In short a wack job built a cult of a 1,000 or so people and the moved from Indiana to Guyana. A US Congressman shows up to investigate and or find a constituent's realative. Wack jov sends his goons to the airport to stop the Congressman from leaving, they shoot up the place, wack job convinces followers to drink cyanide kool aide before shooting himself .

In short its a derogatory way of saying follow the herd, don't ask questions, do as your Benevolant Leader, the Great and Powerful Lofgren commands.

 

If you add a bit of the @TennMan special blend to the Kool-Aid the future becomes much clearer
