The TWIC and Hazmat checks are almost identical. If your companies has you bonded this WILL come up . It is run through AFIS and then you will be terminated for a false app which will be on you. Then you will have to explain this to future employers for the next 10 years.

I dont live in the US just curious thinking about going back and trucking over there.
    - The Reason Why I dont want to let companies know of my General (under honorable) discharge is because I got into it with a Sargeant, it was proven and there were witnesses to prove my self defense, but CO and First Sargent wanted to make an example out of me so I got chaptered out. It was a situation for the most part out of my control, and on my DD214 it says patterns of misconduct which is complete ########, the only little #### up and all of a sudden its patterns WTF?! So anyway I know as soon as the person interviewing me sees that DD214 theyre not even gonna wanna deal with me, and its bull**&^* because it doesnt even have to do with any criminal offense and much less driving, it was self defense, but Its a problem I want to avoid if I can, and thats why I asked, if I can have an honest way of making money, career by just saying Ima regular guy with no previous service well I dont see any harm in it specially If I havent done any. Oh yeah and no trial was ever held, served 2 years and thats how they end still talk to my "battle" buddies though

I don't really think you have a problem. All the company is interested is seeing what type of dischange. Does you short DD214 list anything on it? I believe you'd be better off by checking the box for military service and then if they ask you can explain your situation. You'd be surprised that they only care about the honorable part plus you really don't have that much to hide. At least it's not for drugs which is a plus. But if they catch you lying on the job application then you may be domed.

what you can do is try different approaches.

one application, just do not use the military when asked.. just say no....

    on another..?? say yes...

if there is a way you can get that cleaned up..?? can you talk to your former c/o.? how about the sargent himself..??

offer to "buy him a beer" and talk things over..??

if not, well then what else can anyone come up with to help you..??

You can't clean that up unless you go to the board of corrections and they just will not do it. I don't think it's that big a deal. Lying on the job application would be much bigger.

Honestly? I think you're sweating it too much, then. They'd want to know the character of service (that's your General under Honorable), and what you have isn't going to hinder you with finding a job.

Yes but not in specific detail. They are not going to explain the circemstances like KenMx has so I don't think he really has a problem.
