Background check..

One man pompous ### is another man telling the truth. If you don't want to live with the consequences, don't commit the offense.

 

Not really...a 46 year old man who got in a bar fight when he was 21 when he was young and stupid and never did anything like that again is much different than the guy who wants to know how long he has to quit blow just so he can pass a drug test

 

if a person needs to know how long to stop "blow" to pass a drug test, is this a person we need on the roads???

don't we have enough problems with out compounding them further, and forcing citizens groups to push the government into MORE laws/rules for us to follow, all because some acehole needs to "pass a drug test"..then continue using after that..??

 

My point was you can't compare wanting to know if a background check is going to prevent you from getting a job to the guy wanting to know If there is a hair test. The guy wanting to know if there is a hair test is just looking to beat the system temporarily and is a danger to all. The guy who wants to know about a background check may have just made an unfortunate mistake 20 years ago but unfortunately knows it could still be a crutch when trying to find a job

A federal background check requires you providing a set of finger prints.

Most companies do NOT go to that length.........

 

Actually, I have a couple of unpaid MM offenses from 26yrs ago.. I am working on getting them resolved..You would not believe how difficult this is for them to find it in their achives..

Since I posted this, I had a personal BGC done by a private company that does this for $ 20 and it came back with nothing, I also have sent my figerprints to NICS to do a FBI check to make sure nothing else is on there from back in my 20s..

I did a MVR back 3yrs and has nothing and my credit rating is in the 800s..I have NEVER had a DWI or DUI or Reckless..

Thanks to those that didn't jump to conclusions .. I'm not trying to sneak by anything the PI I had do the BGC said most companies only go back 10 yrs.. and that I'm as clean as snow white

So am I ... I will admit ..I had some less that proud moments in my 20s.. But at least I'm trying to man up to those mistakes and take care of them..even though the fact is I don't really need to put out the $550 .. I could just let them ride and it would more than likely never make a difference..unless I want a carry conceal..
