And I respect that. I think the simplest solution to the original question is to speak to an individual company and explain your situation and see if they have an issue with it. To me that is taking responsibility. Not saying anyone who ever made a mistake isn't entitled to work, but there is a way to go about it.
Background check..

elendil you obviously havnt lived long enough to really understand how life works
my world was black and white many years ago
hopefully you will grow old enough to get smarter about how life really works
until then why not go on FB grab some friends like american trucker and think that is life -
Why don't you go back to burying your head in the sand and hope you can outrun your mistakes.......... -
too many times, the "bad seeds" of this nation have dumped themselves into this industry thinking that it is a way to "get away with it" and move on. well when you run into these "low-lifes'" long enough just coming in and making things WORSE for us all, you will THEN SEE the attitude some of us have.
We as a group of hard working, dedicated, God fearing people have HAD ENOUGH of this industry being a dumping ground for those with criminal records, bad driving records and so on and so forth.
IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH, for citizens rights/activists groups to lobby congressmen, senators, governors, and other politicians to CLAMP DOWN on this industry, where we ALL SUFFER the consequences of the past, present and FUTURE, idiots, morons and aceholes "jumping in".
we have HAD ENOUGH of being dumped on.
now, i do not know what an "MM offense" is, can you explain...MM..????
further, if there is NOTHING in your background that SHOWS UP, then YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MENTION ANY OF THAT, to ANYONE in your future..>!!!!
but try and understand, when someone asks questions, regarding drug testing, and criminal backgrounds, it "sends up red flags", and the "barrage" of comments will soon follow.
best of luck to you, and in the future, BE VERY CAREFUL on how you word your questions. -
MM =misdemeanor
Sorry for the confusion there... -
A lot of companies go back 7 to 10 years. Companies that do a lot of business across the border may be different.

I'm thinking that the background check I got for my carry concealed permit means I'm probably okay for a HAZMAT endorsement. Not gonna stress on it. Except for a 1-5mph speeding ticket three years ago, my record is clean ten years back.
