You are mistaken. Only through a court order can be this done. This is one of the most privatized piece of information on a person and a 3rd party has to jump through many legal loops to see this information on another person. A good example is Mitt Romney, don't you think that if this information isn't highly classified, the Democrats would have already pulled Mr. Romney records. And as far as letting another person see my tax returns, hell I don't need a job that bad. If a perspective employer cannot accept my word, I don't want to work for the "crook" because the most suspicious people in the world are those who are guilty of the same "sins".

Hey Grouch, I got on here and asked a simple question and instead of having it answered I received nothing but criticism and U r the first driver who actually answered any part of my question. Thnk you very much. Whether it was intentional or not. So now I know they can't pull my SS record without my permission, therefor I know that's one way they cant find my previous employment history. I didn't need a moral lecture...lol. Just facts =)

All depends on how diligent the newcompany is. Right out of school and a gap,they may contact the schoolfor a placement. Some states you can check the umc records byss#,that will show the employer. Many way's for us to checkemployment gaps.

Unemployment. Even if you don't draw it the state has a record of your ss#,name and payroll amount.

 

This is very true, but again, a perspective employer cannot check a driver's PSP without the driver signing a release. An employer cannot just go and check this and check that without authorization and when it comes to S.S. records and tax returns, we are talking about some of the most guarded documents.

 

This information is not accessible to an employer or to any 3rd party. We are talking about private information and unless a person gives written permission, this information is not going to be released. Right the present time, we still have some privacy, don't know how long but right now we still have some "rights".

In my time upon this earth, one big lesson that I have learned, a person can be too honest. Oh I don't mean to be dishonest, but don't "run off at the mouth". I have seen people get in trouble for just being too friggin honest, best to keep some things to yourself.

 

You must not hire drivers. We pull that info all the time. When you fill out an app you sign the releases.
