NO! Some do it after your in orientation and many are sent home for not being honest on the app.

That recruiter is paid to put you in the seat. Not every person you meet in life is 100% upfront.

There is an inserting double standard when it comes to trucking. The recruiter can fail to disclose information and even at times outright lie to get you into orientation, yet most times they can and will keep their jobs, but don't you as a driver dare lie or fail to disclose something. That's grounds for disqualification or termination.

I had 2 guys complete all 19 days of CDL school and before lunch time on the last day they were being told to call the company with issues. Both of them were let go for incidents that had happened over 10 years prior.

If you make it into the company's orientation and on the road with a trainer, it's very likely, you're good to go.

If you do some reading on this forum you will find storys of folks sent home after they got to orientation. Mostly for dishonesty on the app.
