I have figured out that all the better jobs usually take a while to get hired. If you are hired in a day, prob not to good of a place to work. Just my experience

Yeah I hear that. The job that I was offered and am supposed to start on Monday took 2 days to hire on. the thing is this place was hiring for the same position 7 months ago. Its high turnover I'm guessing. Every day will have different start times, plus it working at night. I did night work before and I hated it. However I need a job.

Dude, when these things pop up (criminal convictions of any sort), it takes time to sort through them. A good background check takes a week to be compiled, everything you've done is on it except for sealed juvenal records - those expunged things do show up even if the judge says they don't, they do.
So I am betting that because there is a "corporate" involved the app file got kicked up to another HR person for review and they are sitting on their butts as they normally do taking their time. Because if they were going to reject ou for the obvious, it would have happened quickly. -
How many places have you lived in the last 10 years that can sometimes make it take longer to get a check done just a thought
sevenmph Thanks this. -
What's "false swearing" ? You yell FARK and the neighbors thought you said ####?

Have a friend who works for , let's just say the feds, doing back round checks. She says it's probably them waiting for responses from others. It's the number one hold up. Also since you have one incident, they are most likely checking every county you have lived in for 10 years.

Probably cursed out a cop, I guess.

There's no hurrying stupid. Let them jump through their hoops. Stay in touch with the hiring company. Once or twice a week - don't breathe down their neck. If you need a job, take the one you don't want for now. And don't feel bad about it - heck, most trucking companies will use you in a heartbeat. A little turn about is fair play.

Saving as much as I can and paying my bills ahead has helped me enjoy life more completely. I sympathize with your situation and I hope you find resolution.
Leaving in that circumstance was the best option.
Have you considered calling your creditors and asking for an extension? When I did my student teaching, Ford moved 3 car payments to the end of my term for free. I paid extra interest on the backend but the rate was 0.9%. -
I lived in a few different places in the past 10 years but all in the same county. Most people never heard of false swearing. My best friend who is a police officer thought it was dumb. He testified on my behalf at the trial. False Swearing is when you mark a question wrong on a government form and it is the wrong answer. I believed it was a correct answer but I was wrong. Anyway I got the job. I start tomorrow at 8am.
