When I was in school (two years ago) the head of the school told me "I have never seen anyone chase a trailer backwards like you do."......Not quite sure if that was a compliment or not...LOL.........things do get better with practice and PATIENCE.....take your time and go slow.......I am able to put my trailer just about anywhere it needs to go, now........even when I'm chasing it...LOL

Lots of new drivers back up like a snake..
This comes from way too much wheel input.

    Let it react.

Thank you all so much for the tips & support Friday I was FINALLY backing straight catching and correcting when I started drifting and actually started backing! I asked my instructor NOT to give me directions (turn right or left) but help me find "real world" objects I can use...like the middle column of a building, the container for where the bill of lading goes on the header board, things that I will see in the real world verses using the cones they have set up. It helped me a LOT I parallel parked super easy so now I'm starting to get backing--- YEAH!!!!:biggrin_25524:
More practice on straight line backing next up is off set backing.

    Onetruckpony and Hanadarko Thank this.

With backing don't overthink it and don't let the people make you nervous.Just do it.

Took me a while to get out of "car mode" when I was straight line backing. Best advise I got was turn toward the trouble. (Or turn toward the tandems, pick your poison.)
