The sad thing is, I came through stuff on the highway 50x more dangerous than this and I was this upset about bumping a car. That isn't even why I had to clean that truck out and turn it in. John bailed on me.
Backing incident. Utterly sick with myself.

So, what happened? Are you still driving truck?
TBonze Thanks this. -
A volunteer spotter can help or hurt the situation. Some customers with tight docks post signs that we aren't allowed to spot each other. There's a reason for that. Unless they know what hand signals to use they can lead you astray in a hurry. How many times have we seen "trainers" frantically waving their hands in a nondescript manner and yelling at their trainees?Canned Spam Thanks this.

Four ways don't mean #### to half the truck drivers these days, much less four wheelers. -
That truck? No. I had to give it back on Monday because my partner John decided that the only doctor in the world who is qualified to check out his bloody urine is in Arizona. God forbid any doctor in Ohio check it out even with the company offering to PAY for the exam in full. John talked his wife into buying him a ticket home on Amtrak and left me in the lurch before he even logged into Qualcomm. Which was a really charming and respectable thing to do after cajoling me to partner with him in the first place. If you're going to flake, why'd you drag me into it? #######.
When I told the company, they told me to clean out the truck and turn it in. They would not run me for a few weeks until I could get another partner. So, I was fired for not having a partner anymore.
Mayfield Express was hiring though. I was able to get a ride and by the end of the night, I was in a 2004 International waiting for a load. This was all back in January 2014.Last edited: Dec 1, 2015
Nitemare13, Lepton1 and Father Luke Thank this. -
Are you saying bloody as in blood or bloody as in a cussing Englishman?
-
He had blood in his urine from his physical. The company offered to help him follow up with a local doc, but that's when he decided that the only doctors in the world are in Arizona. He was also drinking 2 liters of Mountain Dew per day, so I imagine that had something to do with it.
