One thing that Lucar said is a great piece of advice and why I hit the thank button,if you're not sure it fits then don't try to get in.If I can't back into a spot,im not at all shy about asking someone to spot me.

    Lucar Thanks this.

    Lot's of "armchair quarterbacking" here.

One suggestion in tight backing situations, is try to find a spotter to help you. I know it isn't always possible. Sometimes an employee, or anyone nearby and available.

It's not a guarantee of nothing going wrong, but the more eyes looking out for you, the better.

Just a thought and maybe someone else mentioned it already, There's a good chance Thermo King has outside security cameras --and its all recorded.
If they do and there's video of the car pulling behind you while your backing you may get a pass. Dunno ?

Lucar and KW Cajun Thank this.

Ya maybe but you know how trucking companies are,the driver is guilty no matter what..They don't want to take the time and effort to find out what really happened. They always go by hear say jazz.[QUOTE="Hang - Man";3776150]Just a thought and maybe someone else mentioned it already, There's a good chance Thermo King has outside security cameras --and its all recorded.

That's one more reason why you have to have good communication skills with your company, praise them but dont lose your dignity, always state you are a family man/woman so when things like this arise they will hold back at least one shovel of dirt before burying you.

I agree with Lucar.....you should not be fired, but the Safety folks may want to spend some time with you. Try to find out if there is any video of the accident.....it could help you out and the Safety folks may want to use it in their training.

I think and hope you will do fine after this incident, as you have a good attitude about safety. Don't let this accident get you down!!! Keep a positive attitude!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Talk about extensive amt of damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They didn't haul you to jail did they?Did the person or persons in this car live thru this ordeal?Anyone get taken to the hospital?Thats about the size of it.Only time companies know you is when in an accident no matter how small it is.Something like this looks very minor but the owner of the car doesn't think so.They're going for the gusto and get as much as they can.
