if you're trailer is too much to the left, when you pull up bring your tractor hard to the right, then bring it left, then straighten it out. It should move your trailer further to the right.

You're going to get to the point where you'll know exactly how much to crank that wheel to get that trailer to go where it's going to go. You'll know what it feels like in your hand. But be careful of that trailer; it can get away from you if you don't anticipate where it will be about 3 -5 seconds in the future if you make no adjustments to the wheel.
If you're familiar with calculus, imagine the curve of a function on a graph. It's never constant. It is steadily increasing it's acceleration towards the point (limit?). So let's say you're backing and it starts drifting off track. Imagine it's 4 inches too far to the left now, and it's taken 3 seconds to do that. In 3 more seconds, it's not going to be 4 more inches off for a total of 8 inches. After 6 seconds of drifting, instead of being 8 inches off, it's going to be like 24 inches off track. It will multiply like that , like an exponent function, until you hit jack knife and can't continue on any longer. Because of this, you need to anticipate where the trailer will be a few seconds later and you need to know to make those adjustments to correct the problem just a few seconds before you see it. After 800 practice runs you'll see it coming before it actually happens, you'll correct the issue before it manifests, and you'll be backing up perfectly straight. Hope this helps/
