You forgot something, one must make sure and tear the hoods off the trucks on either side of your hole. Just pull forward reverse high gear wide open, oh and make sure to leave your brakes released that way the truck will move when the forklift comes in or out.

Thanks, I'll be there everyday it's my new work assignment. I feel better now after watching other drivers backing in there. Almost all get out and look at least a couple of times.

Aww man, that reminds me of one steel plant I had to drop off at in the NE. The door you had to get to was downhill from the laneway, uphill to the door, and all on a "T" intersection that forced you to blindside into the black hole. Leaving was simple It was straight out the top of the "T". Getting in, not so much.

Well great, now you know the low-down. Probably won't be long before you are backing in there first shot every time!

I can't add anything that hasn't been said already. So I'll just say "what they said".

Though I did have a dock that was indoors and the outside part was covered by an awning. Just after I got in the dock, set the brakes and turned the truck off it started raining hard. I stayed nice and dry but those 5 flatbed trucks waiting in line had to get out and untarp/unstrap in the rain. I kinda felt bad for them.

    ...kinda.

some of these docks can be a real pain in the ### when its sunny outside......look in your mirrors and this is what you will see, until you get the tractor inside of the building also:

When you get close to the dock turn a turn signal for a little more light to judge your distance, it will light up what you're going to hit.
