Some people just drag their feet when it comes to doing work. It ends up taking them forever to get the job done. :tard:

Some of us do get paid for all that work. Running regional, if you drag your feet or decide not to deliver that next load first thing in the morning it can throw your whole week off.

Practice backing so much it's not as difficult as 90% of drivers make it look. Yesterday I pulled into a truckstop that still had two dozen empty parking spots at 5:30pm, some even pull-thru spots. The truck ahead of me turning into the truck stop went right for the 1 spot that blocked the CAT scale to take his 10. If it takes a lot of work to back in, you will go right to sleep.

Most drivers avoid backing like it's an emergency-only technique and the avoidance makes the stress worse and after a few months they can't back anywhere without a police escoirt and an empty lot as big as a football field.

The "illegal" spots are the first spots filled at the truck stops, not the last.

Since when has physically demanding work been well compensated? I don't see ditch diggers, lumpers, or coolies making $1,800/wk and they work wayyyy harder than me. The work is hard for an hour or two a day which is like getting paid to do a daily workout.

If you feel your sweat is worth $1,800/wk I hope it cures blindness otherwise no one is paying that rate haha

When you get to a parking spot, if you see the driver next to you sitting up in his seat, don’t be afraid to ask him to spot you. Any driver with half a brain would rather get out and spot you than have you hit their truck.

When someone struggles to back into a spot, there is always some jerkoff mouthbreather who likes to crack wise on the cb. Ignore those idiots, because i think most of us would be happy to get out and help the guy who is struggling. But sometimes you just have to ask.

He's driving around in the NE six days a week and it sounds like he's driving his 11s out and tarping every day, so yeah, I hope he's making in the mid to upper .50 CPMs plus tarp pays because that's what that job is worth if you're a clean and dependable driver.
