Its cool to see that I can get the trailer into the cone box now on my own, its just getting it in there straight and lining up the truck with the trailor. sometimes i get it and sometimes not so much. I'm thoroughly enjoying myself either way . i have the next few days off so i'll be finishing up my class hours, going in to take the test for tanker, doubles, and hazmat endorsements, and getting my medical card next week. lots to do ,thank god for all the PTO i have at my current place...good stuff!

Jdiesel, in class we can look out the window but cant stick our head out the window

Driver you'll be fine. When you don't have much to key on other than cones getting square can be a pain. I carry a flashlight for lining up. And there's a sale barn in falls city that that didn't even help with. Not to mention 80+ft of truck and trailer and no room to maneuver in. Anyway getting square comes with time and when you have other trucks to line up with it gets easier. There are a lot of tricks of the trade you will learn over time. I'll give you some of mine tomorrow that I have used that worked out well. Sorry don't have time to type a full page of tricks from my phone gotta get up at 330 to get up and head over to Iowa to load. Just stick with it and you'll get to it. Nobody is an expert their first time backing takes years to master and perfect and you will always have days when you can't get square or can't hit the hole the first shot no matter what NNG says. Good luck and keep up the good work

as you see your back trl move, let it move alittle then get out and look to see where you at , then, do the adjustment. Most senior driver do it all the time. Nothing got to do with pride. Just back into it without any incident. You steer into it, steer out of it.
