Backup camera install

Ok well I have been working on school buses the last 19 years. The last time I wired a trailer the blue wire did nothing. Lol

 

I just looked it up.That is nice

 

Some trucks the blue wire is hot all the time and on the rest it is the signal wire for the trailer ABS.

 

@rank @RGN do those have a quick save feature?

 

Mine records continuously to the SD, no quick save feature. 15min blocks per file

 

Not sure what you mean by quick save. It's recording all the time once u press the button. You can also set it to record when it senses motion...... Like if you leave it over the weekend in a yard.

 

I can see the monitor from the sleeper, nice to be able to see what's going on around the truck before you jump out in the middle of the night.

 

Quick save= push button it locks a file so it dont get over written.

 

Ahh I see. I don't think mine has a single button that will write protect. You need to stop recording then go to the menu and disable the auto over write setting.
