The place I dislike the most is Miami,Florida. High crime, crappy truckstops PLUS garbage freight rates, heavy traffic, and a long azzzzz bounce out of there.

That old truckstop off of Airway Blvd and Interstate 10 here in El Paso is long gone. Replaced by fuel stop with only a Subway and a few "make your own space" style parking spots.

West memphis...stay as far away as I can from there, and I won't do deliveries in La or NYC, only two large cities I have an issue with, I just don't feel like I have the skills to drive off the highways in those areas, and that's what I told my dispatcher, which he was more then ok with keeping me out of

Running around the LA area for two decades I have more issue with the traffic than the locations. A day cab is better at some locations. There are some places that you just drop the trailer in the yard and they have a yard mule take it to the dock.

I live in Miami and never heard drivers complain about the "crime or traffic" getting good paying loads, you better know someone. Truck stop you either go to the pilot off krome AVE or the Marathon on U.S 27 if not stay 2 hour away in Ft.pierce, and a lot of people speak Spanish more than English. Crime cities; Atlanta is a rough area, Houston is also now becoming a rough area compare to a few years back. Dont stay over night in Detroit. Long Beach, basically the port area at night is sketchy, Memphis is bad too but stay at the pilot off US 78 next to the rail yard their always movement and people looking, so its safer we could say. Traffic cities;Houston,Los Angeles,Atlanta, Cincinnati and My #1 Chicago. For loads for me anything away from a big city or big town is rare to find loads or good paying loads, but i deal with FSD loads.

You mentioned a Pilot twice in referencing truckstops. Disturbing...

I was born and raised in the Bronx, grew up in my families produce business in Hunts Point in the 60's and 70"s, not much doesn't really bother me, except Lame Deer Montana, right on the Indian reservation. I thought this white man was gonna get scalped making that delivery on a Saturday night, Give me the good ole inner city, survival is natural, you can keep those cowboys and indians.
