The switch for the power divider is out and I haven't used it for months. Could it somehow engage on its own??
Bad differential??

Multiple drive shafts
1 new rear end
New transmission
And a constant growling noise from the transmission I believe. That did not improve with new tranny. Overall it has improved and I hear it mostly when the angle of truck changes like going up or down hill, which leads me back to ride height.Oxbow and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

I've got the low leaf suspension. The thing about the air was that they run the air out completely then let it refill , make an adjustment, run the air out again and refill. My mechanic never ran the air out after adjusting. I just learned from the service guy that if you have a double frame, which I do, that changes where you measure to. I'm not even sure my garage floor is level. Too many variables, I'll second guess myself for sure. Plus it needs a new leveling valve, mines been leaking off and on.Oxbow and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

If it were mine, I’d have a protractor checking the u joint angle on EVERY joint. Peterbilt (or any other 4 bag suspension) has to have near perfect ride height to keep every joint at the same angle.

UPDATE Sorry for not updating sooner but this has/is a long drawn out ordeal.
Here's what we've found so far. Broken center pin on a rear spring.
Loose u bolt on same spring.
Ride height was off. It was almost 1.5" too heigh. Fixing this also took away my growling transmission noise ( I've posted about that in other threads)
I think Fixing those issues helped narrow down the bouncing. I BELIEVE it's the front shocks. Those are being replaced this weekend so we'll see.
So there's been drastic improvement. If the new shocks take away the bounce I'll be very happy.
However, I was bobtailing a couple days ago and I turned a 90 degree corner and the wheels spun a little and it didn't really want to go for a second. Now I am due for a new set of drive tires. I've gotten all I'm going to get out of these. So that might be part of the problem.
I think I had mentioned the truck hopping and wheels spinning climing up a steep driveway at one of my customers. That improved greatly after fixing the center bolt, u bolt and ride height.
I'll update again after new shocks.
