Bad news for the HH Brethren.

We do a lot of Cat, and it has been slow lately.

 

Yup...I was at the Dozer plant in Peoria last month...the shipping crew there told me the big line that builds the D9, D10, & D11's is/was shut down for 2 months!
He was telling me they had one D11 on the line, but it was two weeks from completion & they didn't have all the parts to finish it anyway.
They had one D9 "in stock" (built, waiting in the yard) and nothing bigger!

It was so promising, I hauled a cute little D8 home...I haven't moved anything smaller that a 10 in over 4yrs!

 

I have a feeling that I might need to haul some cows this winter to keep food on the table.

 

My truck weighs 26,000lbs...I can't do too much else. Even if I do, it won't begin to cover my trailer costs

Looking bad. I live by CSX tracks and they are down to 2 or 3 coal trains a day from about 12/day a year ago. Did see a trainload of about 100 cars of sheet and rebar Wbnd toward Chicago today. Most was 100 ft sheets of 2 inch by 12 ft.

 

I haul food grade, and we are even slowed down a little...
