Heading from SLC, Ut to Columbus, Oh.
Back on another truck with another Co. Things are about as good as I expected this time around, granted Ive only been on the road since Wednesday with this guy, but our personalities seem to gel a little better and the actual job duties seem to be whats important to both of us, this time around, instead of mind games with the last guy.
I just wanted to give another update and thank all those who supported me and took this thread seriously!!!
The truck they sent us to this time around, very unhappy about it. An obvious slob or pair of slobs were in the truck. That bothers me. Plus it seems the ignition has had something jammed in it and the lone key for the truck has been scratched horribly and bent to hell. I guess I could lay some speculation on what happened, but I digress. It takes a little magic touch to get her to start, gonna get some new keys made pronto. We also had a sensor "fall apart" just inside the dashboard which caused air leakage from tractor parking brake while it was disengaged, causing 4 hours of downtime/roadside asst. Bad omen to be under our very first load, but we got her there just in time. Truck does run decent given its an 07 thats been abused.
Well anyways, take care guys! Ill be around![]()

Crazyeyes Thanks this. -
Glad to hear it Crazy. As far as a crappy truck is concerned, we have ALL had to deal with our share of them. Get it cleaned up as best you can, and put it back into as good a shape as time/the company will allow.
It is your home, but it's just temporary. You will probably get a different truck within a year or so. -
Hey at least you got another truck. You also have a co-driver that you think you can live with. Good luck and keep us posted. Glad you kept your job. As for the "nasty" truck, Lysol spay is your friend.
