You ain't seen nothin yet, Welcome to trucking. Your husband has a whole life style change to go thru, Frankly the trainer is the one doing the favor of allowing a newbie to drive his truck. If your husband brakes the truck the trainer pays the repair. Etc.... nd by the way every mile your husband gets with is a plus for him. I ran 800 miles yesterday as a solo, it's just life.

Your husband is the one that is in someone elses living space, needing training, and if you think this is bad maybe he should get out now.

Truck drivers by in large have to put up with more mental and verbal abuse than any other trade.

So if he's going to stay , needs to man up, quit crying and get on down the road. Statics show if he stays a driver you will be the next thing he lose's. Its a hard transition.

Powder Joints ##. He did finally stand up to this P----.And Now look where it got him. He is worse. Just recieve call from him. Now They just got AZ. Now the mentor said to him they r going to Lewiston, Id in about 3 or 4 days and meet with the manager, DM and others and have a meeting and getting fired. And for u "Powder Joints" to say about if a newbie drives a mentors truck, possibly wrecking it or any other possible damages to it well this mentor or any other mentors should realize thr risk they are taking and if that is the case they should NOT be mentors. So don't give me that kind of crap. My husband has been in the trucking industry before and has NOT dealt with this kind of treatment before. He is putting him down, I mean give me a break -yelling at him for going to the bathroom, I would have to beat him and I'm asian I don't put up with that crap. He might be getting a bus fair back home as I speak.

I am telling everyone BEWARE of Swift they are a piece of crap company Especially Lewiston, Id. all going against my husband. They will NOT going to beat my family down. They will get theirs. DO NOT WORK FOR SWIFT BAD, WORSE COMPANY EVER TO DEAL WITH.......... Bunch of know it alls, backstabbers, think they are better than everyone and much more can't say involves a lot of cuss words towards them. Especially this mentor and his DM. I got his bus ticket will be home Monday. He will check on another trucking company in our state.

Hi Butterfli- just read thru you whole posts-so sorry for the both of you and that sux! Keep up a positive spirit for hubby if you can as I am sure he will be feeling like the crud on the bottom of shoes by the time he is home Monday. He will need a huge hug and love from you.
It's sad cuz you started off by saying hubby was not a new driver. It's too bad a bad trainer can make or break you. You would think the companies would want to watch this as it does COST money to train.
    I wish you GOOD LUCK!!
