Bad trainers cheap trick, do not fall for it..

From what he said.. they went to the bar together and shot some pool... be was houng and thougbt his trai er ws just being a cool guy...

When you are a student they can change trainers on you at anytime.. you might get checked in and think you have the whole weekend and your SDM calls and says anotner trainer is on his way to pick you up... this is bound to happen if the trainer you with is kn an account where they never go through the mountains... they will get on with a trainer that goes through mountains..

Also, when it nears the end and you are ready to team drive for the last week ir two of training they want you OTR not teaming on less than 500 mile loads..

So, dont drink.. cause if they call and say your new trainer is outside your hotel.. you may take the drivers seat right from the start...

 

Pattyj... they will weed them out, but they need the students to report what is going on... like I said, my first trainer was a bad trainer.. I requested off her truck and was open with safety about my concerns.. she was removed as a trainer...

But, for some reason a lot of students are of the just stick it out and move on mentality that they dont report or turn in bad trainers...

Some students do not understand that the trainer has no power over you.. even if the threaten to fail you and do fail you.. safety will test you out.. if safety passes you.. you get your truck though the trainer failed you.. some trainers, bad trainers do try and threaten the student with I will fail you... but again, it doesnt matter.. safety will test you..

My first trainer the bad one.. turned in my yellow sheet and had failed me, low low scores.. safety gave me a quick test and realized her low scores were not valid.. and that gave more credibility to my concerns of her as a trainer... then she was removed as a trainer...

 

That is the point and message... your trainers do not yield the power they want you to believe they do..

But, you do have personal accountability...


As far as substantiating werners policy on alcohol for students during training... it is simple.. no alcohol is allowed to be consumed or on person during training.. even when waiting for a trainer...

 

Pattj, that was not how it was when I requested off my trainers truck.. we were routed to the terminal where a saftey hold was placed on each of us and her truck.. neither she, nor I nor the truck were allowed to leave, other than bei g at the hotel, until each of us spome to safety, turned in our written review and complaints.. then safety went over the reviews with each of us.. they went over point by point what sne had reported about me.. and she had graded me so low and stated I was an unsafe driver.. so safety tested me, wnich did not validate her claims.

She was not allowed to train another student and I was assigned another trainer..

While yes, they do need trainers... they still will remove bad trainers..

Now, I did insure that I had proof of some of her bad training, especially when it was against werner policy.. and she had nothing on me.. only false clames she could not prove..

She did say I threatened her and she was in fear .. because I said "this is the #### that makes me want to ##### slap you" which I did say.. and I told safety that yes, I did say that, but gave them the actuall and total picture.. so while she did have a recording of just me saying.. This is the #### that makes me want to ##### slap you.. it did not hold weight.. as I was able to explain and prove that it was not a threat and she was not affraid. Because at the time I said it.. she had her big brother and her new boy friend in the truck.. she was stupid enough to put them down as witnesses... but, safety was smart enough to realize that her, her brother and her boy friend in the truck ck fronting me was more threatening to me than my verbal statement was to her.. and it is against company policy for her to bring two males into her truck while her female student is sleeping...
