I'm not saying that anyone is wrong, but there are certain areas where, once the snow and ice set in, thats all they see until May. They have to learn how to cope and drive in inclimate weather. There is a finesse that we learn behind the wheel, a smoothness on the controls. It is difficult to put in word. Tony reccommends that you park it. Sounds easy enough, right? You still have to know how to drive in bad weather.. Bad weather strikes suddenly. You dont always have a place to wait out a storm nearby. And sometimes, when a storm lifts, you have a small window to get the heck out of Dodge before a monster storm hits.

Never try to outdrive your own abilities. There is driving in snow and driving in a blizzard. Having patches of ice to roads being completely ice covered. I listen to weather reports and make the call to shut down or not myself. I've had guys kid me about stopping too soon, only to find out that they spent 2 days parked on a off ramp 20 miles farther on. As far as the driving in it part goes, SLOW DOWN and try to be as smooth as possible in you shifting and feather light on the brakes.
