Baffled by the range claims

    Yeah it was crazy but i was mostly in sideband..I was just freakin i could hear that so well let alone talk with some of them..

    I was in an underground concrete bunker with a kraco handheld and a piece of 26 gauge wire. I talked to every continent on 1/2 a watt.

    I’ve always said that you can’t beat a Kraco...., hmmm, I think Kraco was made by Uniden.

    I do not understand how you can produce 1/2 Watts radio and talk all over the world unless you are at one of the ulf I think they're called locations underground in the world.

    Hey!

    No, it’s not worth it to me to spend a bunch of dough on a setup that works okay just to get an extra mile or two. I’m still on a pretty tight budget, and currently I’m doing a local gig where the company is providing the radio (although it doesn’t work at all). I moved my radio from my last truck into my pickup for now, where I seem to be picking up signals from the moon... must be something about big trucks that stock setups don’t like?
