    That would be incredibly dumb.

You've survived the whole thing, now you're going to go down for abandonment on you're way back to the terminal?

Your other post shows you left the truck Monday.
8 minutes ago you posted you're still thinking about just leaving.

Don't make your own decisions ever.
Assess a situation, report to your handlers (DM),
offer solutions (if you are capable of) and accept their decisions.
Remember you are trading your precious time and skills for money.
There is a contract and there are rules.
If you want to leave give them time to find a replacement.
But document all communications like your future depends on it.
Because your future career may depend on your actions.
If you want to be a professional, act like one.
TTR being the valuable resource that it is, check back from time to me.
Whatever issue you may have, come back here and do a search.
You may be surprised if someone else never ask that question before.

    Opus Thanks this.

I did that at kllm, don’t know if they put anything on my DAC. I’m a moron though, so stay in school kids.

Company training sucks. You're used for miles and that's it. Trainers also get the easy long runs to incentivize them for training. Once you get your own truck you'll be thinking it's ez pz 1,000 mile drop and hooks back to back, then get hit with 3 months straight of 300-600 mile loads and sitting in dock doors half of your 14s. That's when people quit and begin their endless stint of job hopping until they're completely out of the industry within two years. I'm not saying it's right but this kind of training is definitely normal. Just don't let it deter you from pursuing this career if it's what you really want to do. It's just a few weeks. It'll pass.

    Tacos my friend.

    Tacos.

They can be healthy, or they can be so bad for you they taste ooooooooooooh soooooo good.

Just saying. You can't go wrong with tacos.

Far as your trainer....He's a douchebag. Get it over with it, and then show him he's number one as you drive off solo.

Life is to short to put up with ######## like that.

    Good luck!

Nah, at kllm first 3 mos loads were longer, then it drops; but if you hustle with dispatch, they can ask the planners for longer runs. I’ve spoken to several company drivers that were doing that and going cross-country to CA. I never cared, so I did have more 500-900mi runs.

Only regionals and dedicateds get those super short hauls the majority of the time, (probably like 95%+). I never saw a sub 400 while otr but now I get 2 days to go like 500mi; I usually go to ca and back on my acct.

I’ve never found drop and hooks ez pz, it’s like playing russian roulette with trailers. Live loads were usually under 3-6hrs, but some pickups have a lot of time on them, they get you there the day before to drop trailer. We do have a few customers that you might end up sitting at forever, but pretty rare… I’m only recalling 3 atm.
