    So, our freight factoring company notified us that one of our invoices was not paid - Eleets Transportation Service. Their website is down, and their voice mail boxes are full. Fortunately, we're only into them for $600.00

    Not Al, but a good portion of the management jumped ship the day before Eleets closed. They are all now trying to open up a brokerage at Trailer Bridge using all the old Eleets customers. If you are looking to get paid, you may want to hit the folks up at Trailer Bridge (904) 751-7100 in Jacksonville, FL. They may be willing to pay up in hopes of keeping carriers from going to Eleets accounts they are trying to take with them. Good Luck

    Unfortunately, the carriers and vendors will take the majority punishment from this. Settlements may be tough either route. After speaking to several of the dispatchers that were still at Eleets this week, A large group are going to open up an office for Scotts Logistics(corp in Rome, GA) in Jacksonville. Al's familiy that was working at Eleets is part of this group.

    That's a shame. We used Eleets for our intermodal work from time to time. I know a couple of guys that worked for them.
