Had a female pilot car that had to go 30 minutes after we start rolling. She’d suddenly fly off the exit to run to a gas station. She’d always come back out with a 44 ounce soda, and would have to stop in 30 minutes. She was fired at the end of the day.

You like your coffee and you like to guzzle water. There’s no way in Hell I would change the way I run for a trainee that’s sitting there guzzling fluids. You do your thing in your truck, not in mine. If you couldn’t change your habits, I’d drop you off at the nearest bus terminal.

    Travel light.

I can sympathize some, TripleSix being a bit harsh, although the lady with the Big Gulpie would irritate me too. Going more often is a real problem for older men, on one hand, you need the coffee to stay awake, on the other, you gotta pee every 20 minutes. Sometimes, you might not be near a rest area, shoulders and off ramps are forbidden,,,during the day, anyway, and getting off at an exit these days, could be a huge mistake. Like Ridgeline asked, what did you do in the air? You know, I think I remember you said you were a mechanic, but with a taste of flying, why on earth ( pun intended) would you want to plod along with 4 wheelers bouncing off your trailer tandems, when I think flying would be sweet and do something with that. It's the one thing I regret not doing in my life, is learn to fly. ( Pink Floyd)

  6. when you get assigned your first train or ask him what the situation is and how he likes to deal with it or her...you can almost tell a judge of character if they seem like a jerk off and you don't want to be a part of that kind of nonsense ask for another trainer...
if they seem really cool and you ask a is it okay if I have the shop make an extra key so I don't have to disturb you if we're park somewhere and I have to use it??
when I trained I always gave the student the spare key was no problem at all..main thing I said is once you get ready to drive if you're going to drive make sure that I'm in the truck I will do the same so if I look in the bank and I see your snoring away okay cool time to go..

I have a 12 gallon tank ( 3 hours duration ) and I always know where the closest airport / field is. Always take a pee before I get in , but good point

to shorten my response, when i ran the road, or ran my route, i'd SIP my iced tea or sodas, or coffee..

i'd NEVER guzzle it down. this way, i was able to drive for about 3 to 4 hours, THEN take a QUICK BREAK to relive myself.

when i'd be stopping for my 8 hour break (that's what it was before it went to 10)...ONLY THEN would i go and drink down more fluids...wake up....and relive myself, then start driving again.

once you get your own truck, do as you wish..when with a trainer, and if he has to stop every 30 to 60 minutes, he may get rid of you and to really make things bad for you, tell the company you ain't any good, and should be fired.

the company may pair you up with another trainer, that NEVER stops, and uses a bottle, as HE DRIVES........

once you start driving in HIS truck, and he wants to get to the destinations, you had better do things HIS way as well.

so LIMIT your fluid intake, to ONLY SIPS.....!!!!!!!
