You seem like exactly why I made this post so I don't end up with some jerk lol
I said I like my coffee and drink water. Didn't say anything about guzzling !
Sure hope I get a decent trainer , someone that can communicate haha

That's understandable. But some people have an emergency Condition Yellow EVERY 30 minutes, and then they get a new big gulp soda on their way back out. And they can't figure out why they keep getting these Condition Yellows?

  4. not me I guzzle away like a fish still to this day after 30 years but I need to stop by stop and I stretch my legs and pause for the cause, I don't care..If I stop 3 times in an hour big deal 15 minutes total goes by I don't run that hard to where I have to kill myself anymore.
and on top of that with so much traffic and stress levels is an all-time high I like to stop a few times an hour.. I know where I'm going when I have to deliver

    tommymonza and dennisroc Thank this.

When you get your first load. After you are hooked up and rolling. About 10 minutes after you get on the interstate tell your trainer you have to pee.

  7. Yep this is the kind I was talking about you can feel out a trainer whether he's cool or going to be a jag off and you have to try to deal with it knowing that you're just beginning and you're going to have to learn you may have questions and if you're already could see confrontation brewing it's best to avoid it before it begins....or
you can ask for somebody else and say I could see already there's definitely polar opposites and I'm getting ready to start but I could see already this is not going to work...

Yup. I’ve had trainee’s that went once a day and others that had to go every 3 hours. As a trainer I’ve always stopped whenever necessary. Ive had an individual poop his pants and on my bed.

My truck is no smoking. I’ve had trainees say they need a bathroom break so they could sneak a vape or whatever every hour as well. That’s an issue.

@TripleSix and what he does aside, most trainees are scared and excited to do this job and wonder if they can. Watch how much you drink and eat and you’ll learn your patterns. You can also use an app like Trucker Path and query all the TS, parking areas, and rest areas and plan out your bathroom breaks if it’s an issue. Your trainer will appreciate that.

Remember that stopping a truck and parking isn’t like a car. You’ll pass hundreds of great restaurants and bathrooms that you’ll never get a truck into without a ticket or going off a truck route.

    Congrats and good luck!

You said " DRINK LOTS OF WATER."

You're being unrealistic if you think some trainer should be understanding that you want to continue your habit of loading up on LOTS OF WATER. Why is it that you believe that a trainer should cater to you? Simplest solution is to cut back on the beverages, learn how your trainer runs, and plan accordingly. But no, you're all prepared to label the trainer as a jerk because you feel entitled to have things your way. Now, I can understand that if you were paying for training, but if you are being paid while you train, you should be prepared to compromise and work together.

It is simply astonishing to have to have these type conversations with an adult.

Just don't watch, and make sure much old spice is sprayed. But crack rear window. And keep baby wipes to wash hands.
