Battery cable layout

    That makes sense, and I guess it would help ensure that the starter is able to draw enough amps in order to give the starter a good spin, even if the rest of the system is somewhat marginal.

    Unfortunately someone else took the batteries completely out of the box before I could take a picture of it. Also, right now it is sitting out on a farm belonging to the owner's nephew, and I don't know how they would react if I were to show up on my own and start poking around. I'm 100% certain that I know how the batteries go back in, but the owner has cold feet about proceeding without a diagram showing him exactly how the cables go bact together. I think that I will be able to get something from the Freightliner dealership after the holidays, and then he will be happy to let me put them back in.

    Below is schematic of the battery cable connections I just got from the dealership this afternoon. I figured I'd post it here in case anyone else had the same question as mine.
