    Solar would be a good idea if the sun shined. Doesn't happen much in the winter.

    I was told recently that half an amp or less of parasitic draw is considered normal these days just because of how many modules and computers are used on trucks and equipment now.

    The computers should have battery backups. I parked my truck on Nov 19 and with the exception of driving it 30 miles round trip for a new stripe it sat in my driveway with the batteries cut off until Jan 7. Zero issues starting it.

    On the Daimler trucks, the cutoff switch just turns off the PNDB, it doesn't physically disconnect the batteries.
